Capital & Performance Risk Officer - Regulatory Expert

The Capital & Performance Risk Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining the global framework on capital requirements for ENGIE Global Markets (EGM), a MIFID licensed investment firm. This position requires strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to develop tactical tools using programming languages such as Python, VBA, or SQL.
Key Responsibilities- Update ICAAP reporting and analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support the Front Office in delivering Economic Value Analysis (EVA) for Origination Committee.
- Design, validate, and update tools related to reporting, including model design and validation processes.
- Prepare supervisory reports, including ICAAP reports, Recovery Plans, Resolution reporting, and quarterly financial reports.
- Collaborate with the legal department on specific deals, proposing clauses as needed.
- Participate in transversal tasks, such as:
- Contribution to risk mitigators, optimizing cost of credit.
- Contribution to new products, assessing impact on capital requirements.
- Teaching in Academies, Risk Academy, and School of Structuring.
- Supporting management in handling projects, such as new branch openings or portfolio transfers.
- Experience in Capital Management (CRD/IFR) for banks or regulated investment firms.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Ability to develop tactical tools using programming languages.
- Proficient in writing and delivering presentations.
- Accuracy, quality, and timeliness of deliverables.
- Ability to explain complex topics.
- Knowledge of commodity transactions, including products, mechanisms, and risks.
- Autonomy and proactivity.
- Ability to take a risk-based approach.
- Good stress resilience.
- Good communication skills.
- Master's degree in Finance or Quantitative techniques.
- Minimum 5 years of operational experience in a position with data manipulation and model design, ideally in an investment firm or banking environment.
- Fluent in English and French, written and oral.
- Other languages are a plus.
