About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Front End Engineer to join our team at FactSet. As a key member of our engineering community, you will be responsible for designing and developing functional and appealing web applications based on client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Emerging Technologies: Stay current with the latest web technologies and frameworks to ensure our applications remain cutting-edge.
  • Develop and Maintain Web Applications: Design and develop web applications that meet client requirements, with a focus on functionality, usability, and performance.
  • Write Clean and Efficient Code: Write well-structured, efficient, and well-documented code using industry best practices.
  • Ensure Application Maintenance: Ensure that deployed products are properly maintained throughout their lifecycle, with regular updates and bug fixes.
  • Participate in Code Reviews: Participate in design and code reviews of multiple projects across teams to ensure high-quality code and best practices.
  • Optimize Application Performance: Ensure cross-platform optimization and responsive design of applications to provide a seamless user experience.
  • Troubleshoot and Debug Applications: Troubleshoot and debug applications to resolve issues and optimize performance.
  • Conduct Regular Testing: Conduct regular website testing to identify and fix bugs or performance issues.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering: A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required.
  • Fluent English: Fluency in English is essential for effective communication.
  • Front-End Development Experience: 2+ years of experience in front-end development, with a strong understanding of web development principles.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and Vue3: Proficiency in TypeScript (v5+), Vue3 (with composition API), CSS, and related technologies.
  • Technical, Analytical, and Troubleshooting Skills: Practiced technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of UX Best Practices: Knowledge of UX best practices to design user-centered applications.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD Concepts: Experience or knowledge of CI/CD concepts (Docker, GitHub) to ensure efficient development and deployment processes.
