Within the Engineering Division at Technip Energies' Abu Dhabi office, you will report to the Digitization & Information Management department. With over 60 years of expertise in energy project design, our division comprises 600 professionals from various disciplines essential to our operations. About the position:As a Senior Control System Engineer - M/F within the Instrumentation, Control System, and Telecommunication Department, you will contribute to international projects. Your primary responsibilities will encompass the definition, selection, and oversight of control and safety systems for industrial facilities. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting technical analyses of standards
- Selecting appropriate technologies for implementation
- Drafting specifications, functional analyses, and requisitions
- Preparing detailed documentation related to control system implementation
- Defining interfaces with client teams (operators, maintenance, IT, etc.)
- Establishing and validating internal technical interfaces with other disciplines
- Reporting to the lead engineer
- Leading a team of engineers and coordinating project activities
- Analyzing and defining process control and safety measures
- Coordinating technical aspects with discipline squad leaders
- Evaluating and recommending suppliers' bids based on technical criteria
- Monitoring purchase orders from a technical perspective
- Managing supplier documentation
- Overseeing the technical data link of control systems to the database
- Facilitating meetings with clients, partners, and suppliers
- Participating in factory acceptance tests
- Executing commissioning missions on-site
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in industrial control and automation, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering studies related to control and safety systems. You should be open-minded, curious, and adaptable, thriving in a multicultural environment and capable of collaborating with diverse partners. Proficiency in English and French is required. Ideally, you should be willing to travel for extended periods to vendor factories or for on-site commissioning activities. Experience in team leadership is advantageous.
