About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to join our Data, Software, and DevOps team. As a team lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the development environment, integrating third-party tools, and ensuring best practices and compliance with internal standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with underwriting and R&D managers to define key targets and roadmap
  • Provide technical direction and support to the engineering team
  • Ensure best practice and compliance to internal standards and practices
  • Frequently present progress and goals to both engineering and wider teams
  • Set up a cyber roadmap with a reachable Business Continuation Plan and Incident response plan
  • Contribute to the technical roadmap through architecture meetings and design documents
  • Lead and coach the engineering team to consistently deliver according to their roadmap
  • Share expertise to help the team with setup, automation, maintenance, and updates of secured connections, CI/CD pipelines, data storage processes, package versioning, and releasing pipelines
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps positions
  • 1+ year of technical management experience
  • Ability to handle human interactions between tech and business
  • Experience mentoring a team of engineers
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of the tech stack or equivalent tools
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience automating CI/CD pipelines
  • Good knowledge of English and fluency in French
