The European Sourcing Operations (ESO) division is dedicated to formulating and executing an industrial strategy aimed at bolstering the growth of Tiffany & Co.'s High Jewelry (HJ) and Fine Jewelry (FJ) sectors. This role necessitates collaboration with teams across the Atlantic to enhance and expand European manufacturing capabilities through strategic partnerships and subcontracting.
We are looking for an Intern – Industrial Project Engineer who will play a vital role in shaping and executing industrial methodologies while providing essential logistical, systems, and process support. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative team that is rapidly evolving and has high aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in defining and executing industrial strategies:
Process Definition Assistance: help in outlining and documenting the industrialization processes for current products. Project Management Involvement: aid in coordinating industrial projects alongside project managers, participating in multidisciplinary teams focused on product manufacturing techniques, and tracking progress. Continuous Improvement Input: assess and recommend enhancements to practices to uphold high production standards, contributing insights during review sessions for potential improvements. Ongoing Component Project: assist in the implementation of component BOM and supply chain mapping.Logistical Support:
Provide administrative and logistical assistance to the ESO team for the international shipment of Fine & High Jewelry items during various stages of development or production. Create and maintain tools and processes to monitor the flow of stones, samples, prototypes, and finished goods. Assist suppliers with shipping processes, including documentation, carriers, and customs. Collaborate with the local logistics team to enhance the new European distribution framework with EU jewelry suppliers.Systems and Process Support:
Develop and maintain documentation of processes and manage their implementation to support the team. Input data into ERP systems to initiate development projects and ensure master data updates. Conduct preliminary analyses on Product Price Variances (PPV) for the sourcing team, gathering essential information to facilitate decision-making. Organize and manage the monitoring, tracking, and reconciliation of ESO inventory, including ERP systems and documentation.Required Qualifications
Final year of an Engineering or Master's degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong skills in project management. Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management and staff. Self-motivated and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, multifunctional, and multicultural environment. Flexibility to manage shifting priorities and a strong sense of time management.Additional Information:
