Are you an engineer looking for a new challenge in a foreign language?

AWE is seeking a highly skilled Control and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team at the EPURE facility in France.

This role is to support a joint UK/French radiographic and hydrodynamics facility located near Dijon, France.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply technical knowledge for engineered systems and structures.
  • Identify and escalate business risk where applicable to plant and engineered systems.
  • Make evidence-based engineering decisions to solve technical problems.
  • Bring C&I engineering skills to the team, which could potentially include one or more of the following: electrical distribution, functional safety, PLCs, machinery safety, intrinsic safety, BMS, and specialist instrumentation.
  • Provide hands-on support for UK trials at EPURE.
  • Contribute towards the development of safe systems of work and work instructions.
  • Acquire and maintain the necessary competencies to perform this role.
  • Develop awareness of team, function, and company processes and technical capabilities.
  • Participate in collaborative working relationships as part of a team (internal/external).

Requirements:

  • An HNC/HND with additional experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver engineering across similar manufacturing/research environments incorporating infrastructure facilities, plant, and equipment.
  • Experience of delivering facilities engineering and maintenance services across the life of an asset.
