About Safran Aircraft Engines (SAE)
Safran Aircraft Engines is experiencing significant growth in its Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) business. A key part of this expansion involves partnering with joint-venture or third-party organizations to handle MRO activities (Shop Visits). The cost performance of these offloaded activities is crucial for the profitability of our customers' contracts.
Your Role: Operational Cost Controller
As an Operational Cost Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial success of our MRO operations. You will be responsible for managing the cost aspects of offloaded Shop Visits, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Create SAP projects for Offloaded Shop Visits and issue corresponding Purchase Orders to our Offload partners, ensuring accurate article specifications as defined in the Offload contracts.
- Lead the validation of invoices received from Offload Partners, working closely with SAE Purchasers (for contract compliance) and SAE Engine Owners (for alignment with shop finding reports and actual Shop Visit execution).
- Maintain accurate SAP records for all Offload services performed.
- Analyze Shop Visit Costs and monitor cost trends throughout the Shop Visit process. This involves gathering data on external costs from Offload partners and internal repair costs for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and Parts within Safran Aircraft Engines' supply chain.
- Communicate cost elements promptly to the team responsible for quoting and invoicing our end customers (PEC, Pôle d'Expertise Commerciale).
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in cost controlling and project management within a similar industry.
- Strong proficiency in IT tools such as SAP, Power BI, and MS Excel.
- A solid understanding of the MRO business and technical knowledge of various Shop Visit scenarios.
- Familiarity with aircraft engines would be highly advantageous.
