Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our team at Royal Caribbean Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and updating guidelines for electrical and electronic divisions, as well as coordinating inspections and input to projects from in-house sources, site offices, architects, and other consultants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate eventual modifications within electrical areas with in-house architects
  • Support the preparation of technical specifications
  • Monitor and report on building progress
  • Apply relevant rules and regulations in the development of cruise ship design and building, including the evaluation of new technology
  • Participate in approval processes for factory acceptance tests (FAT) and quay and sea trial procedures
  • Participate in FAT, inspections, and sea and quay trials during the building process
  • Stay up-to-date with technological developments in electrical areas
  • Ensure that innovations and lessons learned from existing fleet are implemented on future newbuilding projects and revitalization projects
  • Communicate with potential manufacturers and systems designers
  • Communicate with RCL fleet ships as needed
Requirements
  • Fluency in English
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience from new building site surveys, especially in the electrical field
  • A long shipboard experience with proper technical skills
  • Experience in shipbuilding and design
  • Good skills in reading technical drawings
  • Good communication and cooperation skills
  • Knowledge of SOLAS and IMO regulations
Qualifications

A minimum of 7 years of experience in the electrical field is required.
