Your Role as a Group Leader

You will spearhead an independent and innovative structural biology research program, tackling critical biological challenges. We highly value original, bold, and unconventional proposals that leverage cutting-edge and emerging technologies.

We seek individuals who will seamlessly integrate into and fully utilize the extensive research environment and comprehensive resources available at EMBL Grenoble, on the EPN Campus, and throughout the entire EMBL network.

Research Focus

Aligned with EMBL's scientific program, the EMBL Grenoble Unit is particularly interested in candidates whose research programs align with areas such as [research plans] and [research plans]. The Unit already boasts considerable strengths in [area of strength] and is eager to expand its portfolio to include mechanistic studies within the theme of [theme]. Acceptable research areas are broad and encompass chemical biology, biochemistry, biophysics, proteomics, structural biology, and nano X-ray imaging of biological systems. Prospective avenues include incorporating synthetic biology technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) approaches, capitalizing on EMBL's AI portfolio which spans across disciplines, including structural biology.

Your Qualifications

You possess a demonstrable ability and ambition to contribute to fundamental biological discoveries through both biological breakthroughs and methodological advancements. Your research should complement and synergize with the activities of the EMBL Grenoble Unit and the wider EMBL organization.
