Air Operations Supervisor

C.H. Robinson is seeking a skilled professional to lead our air operations team in Paris.
As a Supervisor Air Operations, you will be responsible for managing daily workflows, coaching and mentoring team members, overseeing performance, and resolving issues. You will play a key role in implementing changes that drive efficiencies, enhance productivity, ensure quality, and achieve optimal cost management.
Your primary focus will be on developing your team, monitoring their performance, and supporting the day-to-day needs of our partners through superior operational practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Outline and communicate employee role accountabilities and expectations, and prioritize and delegate work to ensure productivity, quality, efficiency, and service objectives are achieved.
- Conduct regular check-ins and annual performance management routines, and support the team's personal and professional development, understanding individual needs and creating opportunities for experiences that support development needs.
- Work with next-level manager and workforce analysts to define staffing levels and work schedules, and monitor work hours to manage personnel and overtime costs.
- Participate in the recruitment, selection, promotion, and alignment of qualified and diverse talent.
- Optimize daily workflow to achieve quality and efficiency goals, continuously monitoring work and assessing operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee the airfreight safety and security program, coordinating efforts internally and liaising with local authorities.
- Act as an escalation point for exceptions and problem resolution.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, partnering on problem resolution and working together on continuous improvement, ensuring operations team members are well-informed of business expectations and well-positioned to deliver.
- Perform operational task work and/or fill in for peer group when needed.
- Prepare operational performance reports to provide insights to employees and next-level leadership related to production, expense, and quality of service, taking action to improve results where needed.
- Minimum 3 years of commercial or capacity experience.
- Minimum 3 years of Global Forwarding operations experience.
- Minimum 1 year of leading and managing teams.
- Fluent in French and English (written and verbal).
