As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bar. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Financial Responsibilities- Meet departmental targets by following preparation instructions and using the right doses to minimize waste and loss of merchandise.
- Manage billing and cash operations for services sold.
- Be responsible for the bar's cash and cash transactions.
- Provide a friendly and personal welcome for guests and be attentive to their needs.
- Ensure pre-service requisites are met and the bar opening procedure checklist is completed.
- Maintain the bar areas in a clean and orderly manner, adhering to standards and hygiene.
- Serve drinks to customers in a friendly and helpful manner, following service policies and procedures.
- Ensure all products are served according to outlet/ hotel standards.
- Maintain product quality by checking beer pipes, cordials, juices, etc.
- Keep track of wines, beers, liquors, and other supplies, maintaining par stocks and requisitioning according to business needs.
- Promote the bar offer and create a good atmosphere.
- Have a general awareness of health and safety in relation to all tasks and activities undertaken in the department.
- Implement stock rotation (FIFO system of inventory management).
- Promote the bar's special offers, cocktails, and full range of products to increase bar revenue through additional sales techniques.
- Help manage stocks and inventories.
- Be responsive and helpful with regard to out-of-menu items, such as classic cocktails, and expand personal knowledge in this area as much as possible.
