Description of the Job

Job Context

The Cybersecurity practice at Wavestone helps its clients implement their digital identity transformation projects. Identity is a key pillar of cyber risk management and a critical component of a successful Zero Trust strategy.

Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) is one of the aspects of digital identity in the enterprise that aims to define who can access the Information System (identities) and with what access rights (authorizations), ensuring that users have all the necessary rights and only the necessary rights.

IGA projects are typically large-scale enterprise transformation projects that involve several dimensions:

  1. A organizational dimension, to define which actors are responsible for managing identities and authorizations and to support these actors in their role.
  2. A process dimension, to define the processes for managing identities and authorizations throughout their lifecycle in the enterprise.
  3. A technical dimension to implement the tools supporting the processes.
  4. A data dimension to collect, analyze, and prepare the data to be used as input for the processes and tools.

The projects we undertake for our clients on this topic can take various forms, such as auditing their current solutions, defining their future projects, providing expertise on specific topics, managing their transformation project, implementing their new tool, etc.

Job Objectives

The objective of this internship is to evolve Wavestone's knowledge and expertise on Identity Governance and Administration topics. This involves:

  1. Understanding regulatory developments.
  2. Analyzing new business challenges (e.g., opening the SI to partners, managing robots), new market offerings for IGA solutions, and new approaches to project management and change management.
  3. Mastery of the technological tools.

Internship Tasks

Under the supervision of a consultant and the management of a manager, the intern will be able to perform some or all of the following tasks:

  1. Conducting a study on new challenges and new approaches.
  2. Building benchmarks of IGA features in market solutions.
  3. Conducting PoCs or mockups of market solutions.
  4. Developing accelerators or tactical tools.
  5. Analyzing the regulatory framework and formalizing convictions.

The exact title and scope of the internship or task will be confirmed at the beginning of the internship.

Example of Subject n°1

Context: The concept of regalian identity (or citizen identity) is evolving in depth. Technological solutions, as well as legislation, are favoring the emergence of new types of citizen identity: France Connect yesterday, the France Identity application today, etc. Wavestone wants to conduct a comparative analysis of the different existing regalian identities, in order to identify the use cases to which these identities respond today and will respond tomorrow, but also to highlight French positions on this subject.

Objectives: The objective of this internship will be to conduct a state of the art of theoretical use cases of regalian identity in the world, and to list and document concrete applications known.

Example of Subject n°2

Context: A publisher has recently launched a solution that allows exploring the IGA side to respond to a client's need. It is therefore necessary to take knowledge and test the native and non-native features of this solution in order to evaluate its compatibility with the different applications.

Objectives: Wavestone wants to create a mockup of the solution to gain expertise on the solution.

Tasks to be performed:

  1. Test cases.
  2. Listing of features offered by the solution.
  3. Comparison with rival solutions.
  4. Manipulation and parameterization of the test environment of the solution.
  5. Discovery of new features proposed by the publisher (if existing).
  6. Construction of a critical evaluation opinion on the services of the solution.
