Your Future Team:
Become a part of our Commissioning Team in France, where you will report directly to the Commissioning Manager.
You will join one of three commissioning teams, operating on a schedule of three weeks on-site in France followed by one week off. Your role will involve executing hands-on commissioning tasks.
This position is classified as an Outside IR35 Contract.
Your Responsibilities:
Execute electrical systems commissioning from the design phase through to the completion of active commissioning, ensuring adherence to budget, quality, time, and performance standards.
Prepare and validate documentation, coordinate the production of Temporary Commissioning Aids, and implement these on-site to facilitate timely construction completions and progressive commissioning of systems.
Ensure compliance with all standards, procedures, work instructions, and setting-to-work documentation throughout the commissioning process.
Develop commissioning documentation and safe working systems, managing the approval process through the Testing & Commissioning Panel and facility work control protocols.
Coordinate commissioning activities through meetings, tests, demonstrations, training sessions, and performance evaluations.

QualificationsTo excel in this role, you will need:
Specific experience in commissioning Electrical and Control & Instrumentation systems.
Experience with High Voltage (HV) systems, including hands-on commissioning, defect resolution, maintenance, and safety protocols for HV equipment.
Proficiency in conducting factory acceptance testing with both UK and international suppliers, along with the vetting, production, and approval of necessary documentation.
A solid understanding of Design Engineering, Construction, and Handover processes.
The capability to organize and execute complex commissioning tests and interpret results effectively.
The ability to perform initial operator responsibilities during commissioning testing phases (i.e., Non-active commissioning).
A comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety at Work Act (HSAWA), Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM), and risk assessments.
Familiarity with Safety Functional Requirements and Safety Justifications.
Demonstrable knowledge of the IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 and related standards.
Additional InformationDue to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will require Security clearance, ideally DV. To qualify, candidates must be Sole UK nationals.
Work Location: CEA Valduc, France, with a schedule of three weeks on-site followed by one week off.
This is an Outside IR35 Contract.
Working Hours: Up to 50 hours per week.
Must possess a CSCS Card or equivalent.
