Senior IT Project Manager

Job Summary:
Comgent is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager to oversee IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, managing timelines, and supporting the PMO in governance, reporting, and continuous follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans, including project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress, adjusting plans and timelines when necessary to meet project milestones.
- Collaborate with the PMO to ensure that projects align with the organization's governance frameworks.
- Support PMO activities such as portfolio management, resource management, risk management, and financial tracking.
- Provide regular updates to senior management, and stakeholders on project status, risks, issues, and budget performance.
- Create and maintain project documentation.
- Ensure comprehensive project reporting and analysis using appropriate tools, such as dashboards, to track KPIs and project metrics.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively, escalating them as needed.
- Develop contingency plans to address any potential obstacles or delays.
- Ensure proper risk documentation and follow-up actions are implemented.
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, ensuring expectations are managed and key project updates are shared in a timely manner.
- Facilitate regular project meetings, ensuring agendas are set, minutes are captured, and follow-up actions are completed.
- Manage the relationship between IT, business units, and third-party vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Track project budget expenditures and ensure financial forecasting aligns with project timelines.
- Ensure that the project remains within the approved budget and identify cost-saving opportunities where possible.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of proven experience as an IT Project Manager, managing medium to large-scale IT projects.
- Strong understanding of PMO processes, governance, and best practices in project reporting and follow-up.
- Experience in budget tracking, cost control, and financial reporting for IT projects.
- Expertise in project management methodologies.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder management, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Trello, Asana, or other similar tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and creating reporting dashboards.
- PMI, PMP, or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
- Experience working in an IT environment, particularly with cloud technologies, software development, or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with PMO software tools and systems.
- Experience working in a matrix organization with cross-functional teams.
