About this Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance professional to join our Internal Audit team at Crown Packaging UK.

The Internal Audit department, in collaboration with the Board, Executive Management, and External Auditors, serves as a cornerstone of corporate governance. Beyond its assurance role regarding the Company's control framework, it plays a vital part in our continuous improvement initiatives. The Internal Audit department maintains its independence and objectivity through reporting to the Audit Committee.

This position primarily involves auditing our operations across the EMEA region, which includes sites focused on Beverage Packaging and Transit Packaging. Occasionally, this role may extend to support missions in other regions.

Role Purpose
The department assesses risk exposures related to the organization's governance, operations, and information systems, focusing on four objectives aligned with the COSO II framework:
  • Strategic - high-level orientations and objectives set by the entity
  • Operations - effective and efficient use of the entity's resources
  • Reporting - reliability of financial statements
  • Compliance - adherence to laws and regulations
Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct financial and operational audits of facilities, operations, projects, and systems in accordance with the Internal Audit Plan
  • Plan and execute audits following established standards, plans, budgets, and timelines
  • Document audit findings clearly and provide recommendations for risk mitigation, operational improvements, cost reductions, and compliance with company policies
  • Undertake special reviews and participate in projects as requested by management
  • Adhere to the department's Code of Ethics
  • Travel at least 40% of the time to perform fieldwork
Relevant Qualifications and Experience
  • Ideally a qualified accountant or equivalently qualified through experience in Finance
  • Familiarity with integrated ERP systems such as JDE and SAP
  • A valid driving license is required
  • Experience in manufacturing processes is advantageous but not mandatory

  • Proficient written English and operational spoken English; additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French, German, Arabic) are a distinct advantage
