At DeepLife Group, we leverage cutting-edge advancements in omics data, which facilitate the comprehensive measurement of cellular activities on a grand scale. This capability allows us to develop foundational models that simulate cellular behavior across various scenarios, ultimately identifying the most effective interventions to reverse disease progression.
Our team is committed to constructing the most extensive omics database, referred to as the omics atlas, which aims to map all human tissues and diseases while minimizing experimental biases.
We foster a research-oriented environment, with 90% of our personnel holding PhDs and actively engaging in academic collaborations and publications. DeepLife Group operates primarily on a remote-first model, with most tasks conducted remotely and occasional gatherings organized.
Position OverviewWe are in search of a forward-thinking and pragmatic deep learning research scientist who is enthusiastic about developing foundational models utilizing biological data to address the complexities of drug target identification.
As a Senior Research Scientist in Foundational Models, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing foundational models grounded in biological data in collaboration with the computational biology team
- Contributing to the recruitment process for a team of deep learning researchers
- Engaging in partnerships with biotech companies and academic research facilities
Essential Requirements (in order of significance)
- PhD/Post-doctoral experience in Computer Science, with a proven record of accomplishments evidenced by publications in prestigious machine learning conferences such as NIPS, ICLR, ICML, UAI, and CVPR
- Strong academic foundation in machine learning or applied mathematics
- Prior experience in large-scale training and foundational model development
- Genuine interest in acquiring knowledge in cell biology and contributing to advancements in drug discovery
- Experience working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
