Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead System Architect for Automotive BMS to lead the development of innovative system architectures for our Battery Management Systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining and assessing future BMS system architectures, creating high-level functional product specifications, and driving design win activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the definition and assessment of future BMS system architectures.
- Create high-level functional product specifications based on customer requirements.
- Benchmark different architectures and design space exploration to find the best cost, performance, power, and die size trade-off.
- Lead design win activities in collaboration with applications, sales, marketing, and FAEs.
- Establish close working relationships with key customers.
- Lead the analysis of potential innovation areas on system, architecture, and software level.
- Support the definition of scope and content of future BMS reference designs and demos.
Requirements:
- BSEE required, MSEE preferred.
- 10+ years of experience within system engineering and product design in the automotive BMS applications.
- Expert knowledge and demonstrated experience in automotive BMS systems.
- Prior experience working at Automotive OEMs, Tier 1 or 2 suppliers in defining, implementing, or supporting Battery Management Systems is desired.
- Knowledgeable about automotive quality (AEC-100) and reliability requirements, safety analysis methods (FMEA, FTA), and familiar with functional safety standards such as ISO26262 is desired.
- Experience in working in international and interdisciplinary teams.
- Self-driven attitude to get engaged and contribute.
- Strong business acumen and entrepreneur mindset.
- Strong analytical skills to understand, model, and analyze electronic circuits and systems to propose breakthrough semiconductor solutions.
- Excellent communication skills both written and spoken in English (German or French would be a plus).
- Open to travel for customer meetings and internal team meetings up to 20% of the time.
