Software Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team at Alstom Gruppe. As a key member of our Digital Services department, you will be responsible for developing software components for our Mobile Communication Gateway (MCG) and contributing to the evolution of our Cloud software development capabilities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software components for the MCG, ensuring high-quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software requirements and ensure timely delivery.
  • Develop and maintain software documentation, including release notes and software reference versions.
  • Participate in design planning and verification reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Deliver software outputs in compliance with software engineering commitments.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in embedded software system/application engineering.
  • Hands-on development experience of one or more software phases, such as software development, hardware-software integration, etc.
  • Good working-level knowledge of operating systems (Linux) and network protocols (MVB, Ethernet, IPTCom, TRDP).
  • Knowledge of rolling stock and basic knowledge of software containers (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity and problem-solving capacity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills and a desire to learn.
