Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical and Hydraulic Engineer to join our team of experts dedicated to the design and development of hydroelectric power plants.
- Lead plant design studies, including turbine type selection and sizing.
- Develop layouts for mechanical (BOP-M) and electrical (BOP-E) equipment groups and auxiliary systems.
- Collaborate effectively with civil engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of all project components.
- Contribute to the development of feasibility studies, preliminary designs, detailed designs, and technical specifications for hydroelectric projects.
- Conduct thorough reviews of technical documents and plans to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize 3D modeling tools and software (AutoCAD) to create detailed engineering drawings and plans.
- Manage project tasks, including Due Diligence assessments and responses to study tenders.
- Share your expertise through training and knowledge transfer initiatives within the team.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A graduate degree in Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering from a reputable institution (e.g., Polytechnic, ESPCI, Centrale Paris, Supélec, Lyon, Nantes, Mines, ENPC, INP - ENSE3, ENSEEIHT, INSA, ECAM).
- Proven experience in the design of mechanical and hydromechanical equipment for hydroelectric dams.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong technical knowledge, excellent teamwork skills, and a genuine interest in international projects.
