Senior EPC Contract Manager

Job SummaryThe successful candidate will lead contracts, procurement, and expediting activities, including evaluating and negotiating contractor claims. They will support the Lead Contracts & Procurement and Project Team in all matters related to contracts and contribute to delivering the project on time, within budget, and in accordance with HSE standards.
Main Responsibilities- Represent the company's LNGB team on EPC contract issues at internal and external meetings.
- Provide contracts and procurement advice to the company's LNGB team.
- Identify and advise on contract variations to the Package Contract Representative.
- Prepare documents for presentation to the Company Contracts Committee and various JV approval committees.
- Participate in contract audits, reviewing records for accuracy and conformance to standards.
- Handle commercial and contractual correspondence with contractors efficiently.
- Liaise with project team members to ensure commitments and milestones are achieved and liaise with the Contractor to expedite progress, mindful of foreseen liquidated damages.
- Maintain time and payment schedules and milestones as per the pricing mechanism and advise on payment terms.
- Maintain the contract payment position and prepare periodical contractual credit and liability statements in accordance with the contract provisions.
- Administer legal issues related to damages, claims, disputes, and litigations.
- Provide advice and seek counsel on contractual, commercial, taxation, insurance, and legal issues.
- Contribute to weekly and monthly contracts and procurement status reports.
- Ensure ICV objectives are considered and implemented in all contracting activities.
- Support the negotiation of Contract Variations with contractors.
- Manage and participate in the development, compilation, sourcing, pre-tenders, Invitations to Tender, tender openings, and evaluations of proposals received, including all requests for qualifications for any contract.
- Ensure procurement and contract administration is carried out in the most efficient and cost-effective manner, utilizing TotalEnergies/JOA approved procedures.
- Prepare and/or supervise the creation of Contracts Committee submissions (Prequalification Plan, Procurement Plan, RFA & RFV).
- Ensure market trend investigation and benchmark activity within the industry is efficiently performed to ensure contractors and suppliers are quoting competitively and in line with the industry standard.
- Professional Experience: +10 years, including experience in the Middle East as a preference.
- Experience in a similar position: +10 years or in management of major international EPC contracts.
- Education Level/Diploma: Engineer or Master's degree are requested by Omani Immigration.
