Varenne Capital Partners is a global hedge fund with a strong track record of success. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Portfolio Manager Assistant Intern in Merger Arbitrage.
Our Investment StrategyWe employ a proprietary research-driven approach to identify attractive risk/reward opportunities in the Merger Arbitrage space. Our team deploys capital on friendly and announced deals, carefully assessing each potential opportunity through our in-depth analysis framework.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the weekly investment meeting materials
- Screen new arbitrage opportunities and contribute to deal analysis
- Monitor the portfolio and strategy environment
- Interact with other teams, including middle office, risks, compliance, and marketing
- Participate in research and development initiatives
We are looking for an individual with a strong academic background, solid skills in financial analysis and corporate finance, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Bloomberg and VBA experience is a plus. Fluency in English is essential, with French being a plus. A strong work ethic and teamwork orientation are also essential.
What We OfferThis is a 6-month internship opportunity with a dynamic and experienced investment team. You will have the chance to work on a wide range of tasks, from deal analysis to portfolio monitoring, and contribute to the growth and success of our hedge fund.
