Senior System Infrastructure Manager

Dassault Systèmes' APAC IT organization is seeking a highly motivated Senior System Infrastructure Manager to spearhead Linux, AIX, and VMware domain technical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Linux, AIX & VMware Infrastructures projects, ensuring global standards are defined and implemented.

• Lead APAC-wide business operations around Linux, AIX & VMware Infrastructures.

• Own L2/L3 ticket pools, ensuring defined Pool SLAs are met.

• Collaborate with remote IT teams to install/replace new systems as needed.

• Proactively monitor IT Infrastructure performances, intimating management if upgrades/replacements are required.

• Engineer systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs.

• Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments.

• Coordinate with business leaders to understand and meet their expectations.

• Explore and integrate new technologies, transitioning operations from traditional administration to infrastructure as application leveraging automation/configuration management technologies.

• Maintain all relevant IT documentation on a day-to-day basis.

• Contribute to the automation team by providing feedback on how to automate recurring operational tasks, and contribute code when possible.

• Participate in the on-call process, being available on phone during week nights and weekends as per a pre-defined shift roster.

• Develop a quick understanding of the IT infrastructure, various processes & policies, and tools, focusing on continuous IT delivery in a complex IT environment.

• Manage IT and business stakeholder expectations, participate in and deliver critical IT projects, manage SLAs, and improve user satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• B. Tech / (CS / IT / E&TC) from premier institutions with good academic track records.

• Overall industry experience of 5-10 years in Linux, AIX & VMware Infrastructure support.

• 5-6 years of hands-on experience managing Linux L2/L3 issues and large Linux/Unix infrastructure.

• Hands-on experience in Redhat, SLES OS administration.

• Hands-on experience in managing physical servers.

• Hands-on experience in configuring DNS, DHCP, NFS, AUTOFS, Sendmail, Crontab, etc.

• Good understanding of Shell Script, Ansible, Python, REST API, etc.

• Good understanding of networking concepts like LAN, VLANS, Routes, etc.

• Experience working in an international team.

• Experience with an SLA-oriented ticketing tool.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex Linux OS issues.

• Adaptability, ability to learn faster, independent, responsible, and diligent.

• Good team spirit and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent written & verbal communication skills and analytical skills.

• Achieves performance goals and objectives in line with the team strategy.

• An evangelist in terms of cyber security and its latest happenings around the globe.

• Professional certification such as RHCE or VCE or AIX.
