Our Team
With approximately 30 scientific departments and research groups, and a workforce of around 750 professionals, MPIB stands as one of the largest entities within the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science (MPG).
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled individual for our data center, focusing on various operating system platforms including Unix/Linux, Windows, and macOS. The role encompasses:
- Management of Active Directory and Windows server services.
- Oversight of software distribution processes (Matrix42 Empirum).
- Acting as a point of contact for the helpdesk, providing third-level support.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A completed degree in IT or equivalent training, complemented by relevant professional experience.
- Extensive knowledge in the structure and administration of Exchange Server 2016 and later versions, including DAG, organizational configuration, and client access.
- Proficiency in administration using PowerShell and command line interfaces.
- Experience with software distribution systems and software packaging.
- Desirable programming skills in PowerShell and C#.
- Fluency in both German and English.
