ITAM Consultant

Job Summary

The IT Asset Management (ITAM) Consultant's role is to work with Capijobnew's customers to assist them in understanding their Software and Hardware Environment. The ITAM Consultant will join the Capijobnew ITAM team and will utilize Capijobnew's best practice procedures, tools and people to assist our customers in controlling their software and hardware costs, as well as the associated legal and financial risks. The position reports to the ITAM Services Manager.
The ITAM Consultant can be office-based from either Paris France or Milton Keynes UK offices. It is expected that this role will require regular travel both nationally and internationally (30%).

Responsibilities

1. Engage Sales, Licensing, Customers, and Software Manufacturers to help customers collect, organize, and manage customers' licensed software assets.
2. Interact with Capijobnew Licensing Executives and Software Manufacturers to understand licensing aspects.
3. Participate and lead peer reviews to oversee the ITAM Analyst, as well as secondary review to the ITAM Administrator activities, while ensuring the process and quality standards are maintained.
4. Quality check analysis of customers' contract and purchase information by the ITAM Analyst and/or ITAM Administrator in order to maintain an accurate and complete summary of licenses.
5. Oversee the correct application of license rules to hardware and software inventory data to ensure it accurately reflects contractual entitlement.
6. Compare customers' contractual entitlements against their utilization in order to assess gaps and surpluses in licensing, as well as offer consulting services as to the best practices to optimize their position in order to avoid unnecessary costs.
7. Offer consulting services as to the areas of convergence between software and hardware asset management, as well as best practices in how to concurrently manage both.
8. Advise customers as to the most cost-effective infrastructure configurations to deploy their software on, comparing both on-site datacenters and different types of cloud platforms.
9. Define the entitlement and inventory scope of customer ITAM data, in order to ensure entitlement and inventory information are properly aligned and consistent.
10. Prepare and present ITAM deliverables to customers.
11. Communicate accurate and relevant conclusions to customers across the entire life-cycle of a SAM project, including producing and presenting analytical results and assuring projects get closed to the satisfaction of all parties.
12. Ensure all ITAM projects are conducted professionally, ethically, and in a manner consistent with Capijobnew standards.
13. Keep up to date with industry trends and new ITAM services requirements.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred as well as a minimum of 3 years of experience within the IT Asset Management field.
Fluent in French.
