Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantum Optics Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for the development and optimization of complex optical systems for confocal and widefield imaging techniques.

Your activities will include:

  • Developing and optimizing complex optical systems for confocal and widefield imaging techniques
  • Instrument communications for automation of the setup to improve productivity
  • High-precision positioning of individual quantum dots (QD)
  • QD's spectroscopy, laser lithography, cryogenic operation, and python controls of automation
  • Data storage/analysis and basic cleanroom experience

As a Quantum Optics Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects and contribute to the development of next-generation devices. You will be part of a dynamic and international team and will have access to all necessary resources to carry out your work.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree or higher in a relevant topic
  • At least 3 years' experience in a research laboratory
  • Strong fundamentals in quantum optics and optical microscopy techniques
  • Understanding of solid-state quantum emitters
  • Software coding using Python, C++, or other common languages
  • Proven ability to build and run complex optical experiments from the ground up
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction
