Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned professional in risk and actuarial domains, particularly with a focus on Property & Casualty (P&C) operations and Risk Management. This position is integral to our Group Finance and Risk Management Audit team, responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of our internal control and risk management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
As an Actuarial & Risk Internal Auditor, your duties will include:
- Conducting internal audits specifically targeting Risk Management and P&C actuarial subjects.
- Supporting subsidiary audit teams in evaluating P&C and Risk Management actuarial matters.
- Developing and maintaining audit programs related to P&C and Risk Management themes, ensuring adherence to the highest operational standards.
- Reporting quarterly audit findings to senior management, including the Group Chief Risk Officer.
- Contributing to the establishment of the Risk Management & Actuarial Community, facilitating training programs and knowledge sharing.
- Assisting in the development of research and development tools, including data analytics for audits.
- Participating in recruitment and skill development initiatives within the team.
- Engaging in special projects as directed by the Head of Finance and Risk Audit.
- Building networks with other actuarial professionals within the Group to identify new audit opportunities.
Your Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- A robust technical understanding of P&C insurance, including Pricing, Underwriting, and Internal Models, with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Fluency in both English and French.
- Strong analytical capabilities, with a proven track record in auditing technical risk management concepts.
- Excellent qualitative risk-based thinking and problem-solving skills.
- A willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
- A solid understanding of Solvency II and IFRS17 is highly desirable.
