Job Title: Director of Complete Powertrain Engineering

At AB Volvo, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Complete Powertrain Engineering to join our team. As a key member of our Powertrain Engineering France leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and driving the development of complete products for Medium Duty Platform, conventional axles, and electrical axles for the full Volvo Trucks platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Drive and manage engineering and cross-functional projects, including Medium duty engine and transmission, conventional and electrical axles.
  2. Maintain and improve the quality of serial products under your responsibility.
  3. Develop and manage Verification and Validation plans for all complete products.
  4. Drive the optimization of complete products by developing efficient SW and DST solutions.
  5. Drive the development of Data as a product and overall GSP simulation.
  6. Manage key partnerships.
  7. Innovate by developing new methodologies, ways of working, and simulation to improve performance, quality, and development lead-time.
  8. Drive teams according to sustainable objectives, including CO2 reductions, recycled and sustainable components and systems.
  9. Deploy and deliver a competence and resource workforce plan to develop a high-performing team in line with the technology shift.
  10. Secure an attractive and collaborative place to work.
Requirements:
  1. Master's degree in science or equivalent.
  2. Thorough knowledge of Propulsion solutions.
  3. Proven leadership experience within the automotive industry, leading leaders.
  4. Strong business mindset and customer focus.
  5. Cross-functional knowledge.
