Job Description

As a Subsea Contract Engineer at Synapsco, you will play a critical role in the preparation and management of the contracting process for subsea contracts. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and management of tendering dossiers, including general and particular specifications, exhibits, and the launching of Call For Tenders.
  • Management of the clarification and negotiation phases, evaluation of contractual and commercial proposals, and issuance of final Recommendations To Award.
  • Preparation and coordination of the final set of contractual, commercial, and technical documentation for these contracts.
  • Preparation and follow-up of the associated Commitments process, including registering in the affiliate or Head office tools (ERP system/Contract Database).
  • Management of contractually and commercially awarded Contracts, liaising actively with relevant technical specialists for the technical management of Contractors.
  • Participation in the remuneration process to Contractors, checking Contractors' progress, and compiling Milestone Payment Certificates and Contractors' Invoices.
  • Participation in meetings with Contractors as requested and as defined in Contracts.
  • Participation in the settlement of disputes together with legal, insurance, and finance specialists.
  • Liaising actively with TotalEnergies Headquarters and Affiliate teams for any needed support, with all concerned technical specialists involved in the technical development/management of said contracts, and with the Project Control team (mainly Planning, Budget, and Cost Control leads) for the development/management of the contracts.
  • Ensuring clear and accurate records of contractual matters are maintained and monitoring key dates against those defined in the contracts.
  • Implementing and managing a Change Orders register that can be easily understood and used by the Project team.
  • Supporting the Budget and Cost Control team in the development of Project Budget and subsequent revisions (as requested) according to actual expenditure versus planned budget, current and potential changes.
  • Reporting timely to the GPI/Project management highlighting any encountered areas of concern.
  • Performing the close-out of the Contracts respecting Affiliate and GPI/Project procedures.
  • Observing and imposing strict confidentiality regarding the Contractual and Commercial documentation managed (Confidentiality Agreement to be signed).
Qualifications
  • Very good experience within the Oil & Gas Cost Control Management sector.
  • Languages: English and French.
  • Professional Experience: At least 10 years.
  • Experience within a project: 5 years Minimum Requirement.
