Senior Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to fill the role of Director of Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design and Architecture.

This position requires a strong technical background and proven leadership skills to oversee successful product launches and maintain high operational standards in a fast-paced environment.

This role involves leading a team of professionals, including architects, and AMS design and layout engineers, specializing in deep sub-micron technology SoCs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all design phases from initial concept through to production, covering architecture, specification, transistor-level design, modeling, verification, layout, post-silicon validation, and product support.
  • Collaborate across departments, ensuring alignment with teams such as marketing, systems design, digital front-end/back-end, validation, quality, applications, and packaging.
  • Maintain high standards for quality and reliability to support volume production.
  • Develop methodologies and processes to ensure high-quality, first-pass success in design.
  • Engage in communications with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Contribute actively to the definition of the technology roadmap.
  • Report progress and updates to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Architecture, design, and validation of high-speed Nyquist-rate data converters (e.g., time-interleaved pipeline/SAR ADC, current-steering DAC).
  • Design of calibration circuits to improve data converter performance.
  • Integration of high-speed data converters within complex, predominantly digital SoCs, with expertise in mixed-signal verification, signal and power integrity, and crosstalk management.
  • In-depth knowledge of clocking circuit design and trade-offs for high-performance data converters.
  • Extensive experience in delivering complex IC products to volume production.
  • Strong background in managing teams in Analog/Mixed-Signal design.
  • Methodical approach with a "first time right" mindset, ensuring quality from the start.
  • Expertise in AMS design and layout methodologies.
  • Proven experience leading mixed-signal design teams, with the ability to address technical details down to the transistor level.
  • Experience with advanced CMOS process design.
