As part of our Safety and Reliability team, you will play a crucial role in developing a comprehensive tool designed to identify all potential failure modes within bogie systems across the diverse range of products offered by Alstom.
Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Gaining a thorough understanding of the service's functionality and its integral role within the design office environment.
- Leveraging and analyzing existing data from previous failure mode analyses to inform your approach.
- Engaging in collaborative discussions with mechanical systems experts to delve into their respective areas of expertise.
- Conducting functional analyses to comprehend the intricacies of each system.
- Proactively evaluating and anticipating potential malfunctions through rigorous FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis) assessments.
- Actively participating in FMECA, Ishikawa, and 8D analyses to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Proposing innovative and ergonomic solutions for data processing and maintenance to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
We seek a candidate who possesses:
- A strong academic background in mechanical or general engineering.
- The ability to analyze and comprehend complex mechanical systems from both schematic diagrams and 3D models.
- Proficiency in office tools, with a particular emphasis on Excel and VBA programming.
- An unwavering commitment to excellence, coupled with independence, curiosity, and a willingness to embrace new challenges.
