About the Team

By joining the Materials and Technologies Department, you will be part of a multi-faceted and multi-skilled team. As a Welding Engineer, you will add value to the team with your technical knowledge and expertise. You will work closely with other disciplines, including process, HSED, equipment, general installation, instrumentation, civil engineering, estimation, works contracts, and construction. The team is responsible for designing and manufacturing units for various industries, including gas, hydrogen, petrochemicals, chemicals, and industry.

About the Position

You will join the Construction department and report functionally to the Quality Control coordinator of the department. As a Welding Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing project-specific requirements for welding and non-destructive testing activities, interpreting regulatory and statutory requirements, codes, and customer specifications regarding fabrication, welding, and materials. You will also write technical specifications for the project, participate in technical meetings, and provide technical support to other engineering disciplines and construction teams.

Responsibilities

  • Write technical specifications for the project.
  • Participate in technical meetings and supplier/manufacturer audits.
  • Provide technical support to other engineering disciplines and construction teams.
Requirements
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a welding engineer/supervisor in the petrochemical and/or oil and gas industries.
  • Solid knowledge of engineering, manufacturing processes for all types of contracts.
  • Ability to work in a team and coordinate.
  • International Welding Engineer certification (IWE/EWS) and a graduate degree equivalent to a master's degree in science.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in French and English.
  • Availability to carry out short assignments in France and abroad.
  • Appreciation for teamwork and autonomy.
  • Good analytical mind, recognized spirit of synthesis, and good restitution skills.
  • Mastery of main IT tools and office automation, drawing, and database software.
About Your Future at Technip Energies

This position will allow you to evolve within a large group open to the international, to interact with the various departments of TEN Lyon, and to develop your skills and expertise. You may be called upon to continue the activities carried out in the study phase on site via on-site mobilizations or, if you have management aspirations, to take on the role of Coordinator of quality control activities (equipment and site). This will give you the opportunity to organize the workload, provide the requested support to the proposal department, and supervise other employees.
