Position Overview
The ARAS Innovator framework serves as a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool utilized by Technip Energies’ Gas & Low Carbon Energy division to oversee the complete Project Execution lifecycle. Recognized as a Critical (C1) application, ARAS plays a vital role within the organization.
This position has arisen due to the ongoing exploration and integration of business value into the ARAS PLM system, necessitating a dedicated PLM Solutions Architect to ensure the rationalization of solution strategies during the RUN phase.
The mission of the PLM Solutions Architect is integral to the Project Roadmap and Deployment, providing established practices for Implementation in accordance with Global ARAS Standards.
The individual in this role will be pivotal within the ARAS PLM domain, translating business requirements and values into technical solutions for the development team.
The responsibilities of the PLM Solutions Architect include:
- Engaging with business stakeholders to organize and oversee PLM exploration based on the business roadmap and priorities.
- Managing the backlog lifecycle process.
- Defining the data model structure (including objects, properties, relationships, etc.) in collaboration with PLM Data Modelers to ensure the delivery of the final Data Model.
- Verifying the implementation of the data model.
- Outlining the technical approach for implementing user stories.
- Presenting technical solutions to the development team.
- Assisting developers and business representatives (Information Managers / Business Module Owners) with clarifications on backlog items.
- Showcasing out-of-the-box functionalities and PLM best practices.
- Conducting proof of concept and feasibility studies as necessary.
- Estimating the implementation of designed solutions (user stories in the backlog).
- Coordinating user story development based on functional dependencies.
- Updating backlog estimations in Story Points during the refinement phase.
- Tagging necessary technologies for user story development in ADO.
- Finalizing and sharing mock-ups with Information Managers and the development team.
- Creating mock-ups to illustrate solutions, supporting and validating with business (UI/UX).
- Breaking down larger stories into smaller components and providing recommendations to challenge Information Managers on user story validity, content, and structure.
- Identifying and documenting functional dependencies between user stories and across features.
- Aligning solution approaches and architectural vision with business context and development (Technical Refinement).
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Technical expertise in PLM functional and technical architecture, Azure DevOps, C#, XML/XSLT, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, CSS, Git, MS SQL, and MS Visual Studio.
- Substantial experience in exploring and developing ARAS Innovator.
- Ability to manage multiple topics simultaneously while demonstrating responsiveness.
- Strong coordination, analytical, communication, and training skills.
- Highly organized with the capability to prioritize workload under tight deadlines.
- Resilient and adaptable, able to effectively navigate ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Excellent team player with a collaborative approach to achieving results.
- Strong communication and servant leadership abilities.
- Initiative to identify and implement improvements in solutions, systems, and processes.
- Familiarity with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment environments (CI/CD).
- Experience with SAFe methodologies.
- Ability to summarize and report effectively.
- Knowledge of data modeling principles and methods, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automated testing.
- Background in debugging, performance profiling, and optimization.
- Understanding of onshore/offshore project execution processes.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in exploring and developing ARAS Innovator.
- Previous experience in a technical leadership role related to build/support activities.
