The Aga Khan Academies seeks a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Academy Fellow. This position is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students and contribute to the development of the next generation of leaders.
The Academy Fellow will be responsible for promoting community life and supporting students in their personal and academic goals. This will involve developing and delivering the Service-Learning Programme, which takes place every week with Years 6-10, and mentoring a small group of students to support them academically and socially.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree with excellent academic achievement and a range of interests, as well as a record of significant involvement in residential, student leadership, music, athletic, and/or community service during university. They will also have a genuine interest in and commitment to the mission of the Aga Khan Academies, and experience of working with young people or mentoring peers.
The Academy Fellow will be expected to actively contribute to the co-curricular programme in some way, such as coaching athletic teams, providing music lessons, or running clubs. They will also be responsible for chaperoning off-campus residential and day trips, including to places of worship.
The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter, comfortable working autonomously, and open to new experiences, cultures, and learning. They will be a team player who is able to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and community partners.
