Job Description

Handicap International is seeking a highly skilled Inclusion Technical Assistance Expert to join our team. As a key member of our Social Inclusion & Social Protection sector, you will play a crucial role in driving the development of new opportunities in disability inclusive social protection.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and expand Handicap International's profile and impact through the development of Inclusion Technical Assistance service offers in the field of disability inclusive social protection.
  • Market and develop service offers, providing technical input to the Business and Marketing Development Officer to conduct market assessments, identify priority organizations, and develop marketing materials.
  • Develop external and internal communication and marketing materials, including technical content for global communication materials and internal communication such as a Disability Inclusive Social Protection Community of Practice.
  • Support the development of tailored high-quality delivery packages, adapting programming to specific ITA requests, and implement Inclusion Technical Assistance in the field of disability inclusive social protection.
  • Represent Handicap International in relevant networks and working groups, and support ongoing projects and the development of new projects in the field of social inclusion and social protection.

Requirements:

  • University degree in international development or a relevant area, with a focus on disability and inclusion.
  • 5 years of relevant professional experience in social policy, social services, social protection, and disability inclusion.
  • Strong technical expertise in disability inclusive social protection and understanding of the development and delivery of technical assistance, grant, and business development proposal processes.
  • Fluent in English and French, with other languages such as Arabic or Spanish being an asset.
