Role of the Mechanical Engineer:
As a Remote Mechanical Engineer at a.m.i consulting, you will be instrumental in the design, analysis, and execution of mechanical systems for our industrial projects. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our mechanical systems, thereby significantly contributing to the success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems while ensuring adherence to international standards and best practices.
- Optimize rotating machinery, HVAC systems, and conduct structural analyses.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with electrical designs, instrumentation, and controls.
- Engage with piping engineers on system design, material selection, and fabrication processes.
- Coordinate with civil engineers on foundation design to ensure structural integrity and effective project management.
- Utilize 2D and 3D CAD modeling and design software to produce detailed project plans and blueprints.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards such as ASME, API, IEC, and other applicable codes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to remote project teams, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery.
- Conduct thorough reviews and inspections to maintain the highest quality standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in mechanical system design, particularly in rotating equipment, HVAC, and structural analysis.
- Strong technical acumen in electrical system design, instrumentation, and controls.
- Expertise in piping system design, material selection, and fabrication techniques.
- Competence in civil engineering, especially in foundation design and construction management.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD modeling and design software.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant international standards and best practices (ASME, API, IEC, etc.).
- Proven ability to apply technical knowledge in complex industrial project environments.
