Radioprotection Specialist

About the Role

Orano Group is seeking a highly skilled Radioprotection Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our HSE department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive radioprotection strategy across our installations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a radioprotection program that meets or exceeds regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with radioprotection regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with the Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure effective implementation of radioprotection measures.
• Provide training and awareness programs to employees on radioprotection best practices and procedures.
• Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders to stay up-to-date on the latest radioprotection regulations and guidelines.
• Participate in the development of new projects and initiatives, ensuring that radioprotection considerations are integrated into the design and implementation phases.

Requirements

• Strong background in radioprotection, with a degree in a relevant field (e.g. nuclear engineering, physics, health physics).
• Proven experience in developing and implementing radioprotection programs, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate radioprotection risks.
• Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
