What Will Be Your Contribution and How Will You Thrive in This Role?

In alignment with the Air Liquide Healthcare World Business Line (WBL) and reporting to the VP of Market Access and Evidence, the Medical Affairs Director will play a crucial role in achieving the company's objectives by developing the Medical Affairs Plan to support the implementation of Air Liquide Healthcare WBL programs and offerings in the respiratory therapeutic domains. The Medical Affairs Director will deliver medical and scientific expertise on new initiatives, foster engagement with external medical and scientific communities, and oversee the dissemination of scientific communications externally.

Medical Expertise & Education:

  • Cultivates and sustains scientific and medical knowledge.
  • Delivers Disease State Education, clinical presentations, and addresses medical inquiries.
  • Provides medical insights on key WBL projects, including new product and service definitions and developments.

KOL & Scientific Community Engagement:

  • Manages relationships with the medical and scientific community, particularly with Global and Regional Medical Societies, professional organizations, opinion leaders (OLs), and healthcare providers.
  • Develops OL mapping and engagement strategies, keeping internal stakeholders informed about interactions with the medical community.

Evidence Generation:

  • Identifies strategic development opportunities through active medical intelligence activities such as literature reviews, scientific events, and conferences, as well as networks of Opinion Leaders, scientific advisory boards, and expert panels.
  • Contributes to the creation and execution of the Evidence Generation Plan and supports company-sponsored clinical research and investigative studies (evidence requirements, study design, execution, setup and management of expert panels and advisory boards, assessment of scientific results, etc.).

Evidence Dissemination:

  • Participates in relevant scientific meetings and conferences, assisting in the development of summaries of key data, presentations, or symposiums.
  • Develops a medical and scientific communication strategy for each program under their responsibility, including advisory boards, congress symposia, hospital meetings, speaker programs, and disease state-related academies.

Material Creation:

  • Supplies medical and scientific content to support the creation of foundational marketing and communication materials.
  • Reviews and approves promotional, marketing, and communication materials intended for engagement with the scientific and medical community.

Clinical Support to Regulatory Affairs:

  • Assists Regulatory Affairs activities with clinical expertise for Market Authorization applications and renewals, as well as for Pharmacovigilance activities.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable local and global laws, regulations, guidelines, and company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for medical information management.
