About the Role

Sweep is seeking a seasoned Director of Data to spearhead our sustainability data management platform. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for driving the development of our SaaS product, enabling data analytics and management across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data strategies to support business growth and decision-making
  • Lead the development of data features and pipelines to feed machine learning projects
  • Establish and maintain data governance for production and test data
  • Oversee data collection, storage, analysis, and security to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance
  • Build internal applications and pipelines to support analytics needs for all stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support their data needs
  • Foster a data-driven culture across the organization
Requirements
  • Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in data management and analytics roles
  • Strong technical background in data architecture and advanced modeling techniques
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and technologies (e.g., Python, R, Maths)
  • A strong team player who values quality software and clean code
