Job Title: R&D Engineer, Mechanics of Materials
Job Summary:
Corning is a leading technology company that invents life-changing products using materials science. We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Engineer, Mechanics of Materials to join our team. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for developing new materials and products that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct experimental and theoretical studies to evaluate the mechanical, thermal, and optical properties of materials.
- Collaborate with customers to define specifications and develop innovative solutions for their applications.
- Work with internal and external experts to develop new materials and products.
- Communicate results internally and externally.
- Manage a team of engineers to develop new products.
Requirements:
- Doctorate in Mechanics and Materials.
- Experience in developing new products.
- Solid basis in the behavior of materials, including fracture mechanics, lifespan, behavior, and aging of materials.
- Solid knowledge in digital modeling.
- Fluency in English and French.
