Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at INRIA, working on probabilistic real-time systems. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and international team, contributing to the development of novel scheduling algorithms for heterogeneous multicore processors.

Context and Objectives

The postdoctoral fellow will be recruited within the Kepler associated team. The goal is to extend real-time multiprocessor scheduling by including probabilistic descriptions. The researcher will focus on updating state-of-the-art results on optimal (or near-optimal) multicore scheduling algorithms with real-time constraints, extending them to probabilistic real-time tasks, and providing associated schedulability analyses.

Main Activities
  • Update state-of-the-art results on optimal (or near-optimal) multicore scheduling algorithms with real-time constraints.
  • Extend to probabilistic real-time tasks and provide associated schedulability analyses.
  • Numerical evaluation and energy-based comparison of different solutions on KDBench programs and platforms.
  • Interaction with Kerdata team in Rennes within a possible EU project.
  • Write scientific papers and participate in the animation of meetings between young researchers of Kepler associated team.
Requirements

The candidate should have a PhD thesis in Embedded Systems (not necessarily real-time) and proficiency in English. The researcher will have access to professional equipment, including videoconferencing tools and loan of computer equipment. The position offers a range of benefits, including subsidized meals, partial reimbursement of public transport costs, and leave.
