Drive strategic market share and enhance gross profit through effective technical leadership. Your role will involve developing sales across product ranges through technical promotion and customer engagement, either independently or in collaboration with the sales team, to help achieve the company's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Technical Initiatives with Customers and Suppliers
- Continuously assess market share by analyzing technology trends, regulatory updates, and competitor activities.
- Enhance and refresh personal product knowledge and application expertise through ongoing training and seminars.
- Facilitate technical skill development for the sales team through targeted training sessions and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Effectively mentor and develop team members to cultivate a high-performing technical group, including setting targets and objectives.
Drive Gross Profit Growth through Technical Expertise
- Collaborate on the opportunity pipeline from a technical standpoint with local sales and product teams to ensure timely delivery of high-potential projects.
- Assist in new product launches by working closely with suppliers' technical teams, fostering positive relationships between Univar and its suppliers.
- Provide technical assistance to sales and product management teams regarding specific product lines and projects.
- Engage with key customers and high-potential projects, establishing technical account ownership.
- Standardize sample management processes and ensure effective follow-up.
Align with Univar's Overall Goals and Standards
- Ensure all relevant industry data is collected and utilized effectively within Univar.
- Exhibit behaviors that position you as an integral part of all business operations within your industry, sharing accountability for performance outcomes.
- Enhance productivity to address inflationary pressures.
