BWS International seeks a seasoned professional to fill the role of Strategic Contracting and Procurement Expert.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Contract and Procurement Lead to join our team at BWS International. This role involves providing strong support in project contracting, contract management, and tendering processes.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing accurate summaries of contract-related matters to the FEED MANAGER and Project Control Manager;
- Preparing CPF FEED Contracts prior to FEED entry and CPF EPC Contracts during the EPC tendering phase;
- Coordinating all official communication with Contractors;
- Managing contracts aspects during the EPC tendering phase and operating within standardized legal and contracts policies, processes, and systems;
- Promoting and maintaining free and effective communication channels with Legal managers and Heads of Contracts;
- Performing contract reviews for tendering in accordance with work instructions for contract reviews outlined in Legal Procedures;
- Participating in internal bid team meetings and jointly carrying out a holistic review of the complete draft contract and bid;
- Attending meetings with prospective clients and significant/critical subcontractors and suppliers to arrive at acceptable Contract conditions;
- Assisting Legal Counsel and the Commercial Function in requests for Joint Venture authorization, Bank Guarantees, Parent Company Guarantees, and Tender Board minutes;
- Tendering, evaluating, and awarding subcontracts; administration of bank bonds, parent company guarantees, and insurance certificates;
- Leading the resolution of contractual financial disputes and coordinating Project VOR's and Management of change;
- Monitoring and controlling contract variances identified within the project and ensuring seamless integration between purchasing and sub-contract activities;
- Providing guidance on contract/commercial requirements to the project team;
- Keeping the project personnel aware of contractual obligations and objectives;
- Oversight and driving the internal Contracts and Administration Kick Off meeting;
- Ensuring identification at point of award and throughout the project of all contractual obligations and rights towards Clients and Subcontractors.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- English language proficiency;
- A Lead discipline qualification;
- More than 10 years of professional experience;
- More than 10 years of experience within projects.
Salary Estimate
This is a challenging role that requires a high level of expertise and experience. The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
