Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Project Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa to lead our projects from pre-feasibility to commissioning. The successful candidate will design economically viable projects, obtain necessary authorizations, and coordinate feasibility studies. Strong knowledge of renewable energies and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Project Development: Develop projects from pre-feasibility to commissioning, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations.
- Project Design: Design economically viable projects, in consultation with local stakeholders, and obtain necessary administrative authorizations.
- Feasibility Studies: Lead and coordinate feasibility studies, including environmental impact studies and technical sizing studies.
- Financing: Contribute to the search for third-party financiers, obtain financing terms, and ensure the proper conduct of related audits.
- Partner Management: Manage and coordinate the actions of local partners or co-developers, ensuring an effective and constructive relationship.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Initiate, organize, and lead work and presentation meetings, ensuring the consultation and information of project stakeholders.
- Market Monitoring: Participate in technical, regulatory, and commercial prospective monitoring, including events related to the activity sectors.
- Call for Tenders: Actively monitor and identify calls for tenders and project calls, and be capable of responding to them.
- Reporting: Report on activity via periodic activity reports and tracking tools provided.
- Education: Engineering/Master in Environment, Economics degree, with significant experience in developing large-scale renewable energy projects abroad.
- Skills: Good interpersonal and writing skills, strong knowledge in renewable energies, and proficiency with standard IT tools and planning software.
- Traits: Rigorous, methodical, enjoys teamwork but also capable of working with great autonomy.
- Language: Professional proficiency in English is essential.
