We are seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to join our executive team and drive our ambitious growth strategy. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for crafting and executing a financial roadmap that supports our vision of becoming a global leader in children's entertainment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Strategic Financial Leadership
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with Animaj's long-term vision and growth objectives.
    • Lead the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function, providing insights and recommendations to the executive team.
    • Oversee the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational needs of the different departments.
    • Implement robust financial controls and risk management practices to safeguard Animaj's assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced Capital Structure Management
    • Design and manage a sophisticated capital structure that balances equity and debt to optimize the company's cost of capital and financial flexibility.
    • Lead efforts to secure at least €100m in additional debt financing over the next two years, including identifying potential lenders, negotiating terms, and structuring deals.
    • Manage relationships with key debt providers.
    • Monitor and manage existing debt agreements, ensuring compliance with covenants and optimizing terms to support Animaj's growth strategy.
    • Develop and implement strategies for refinancing existing debt to improve terms and reduce costs.
  • Acquisition and Investment Oversight
    • Lead the financial evaluation and due diligence of potential acquisition targets, ensuring they align with Animaj's strategic and financial criteria.
    • Develop financial models to assess the impact of acquisitions on the company's financial performance and valuation.
    • Oversee the integration of acquired companies, ensuring seamless financial and operational integration.
    • Monitor the performance of acquired entities, providing regular updates to the executive team.
  • Reporting, Compliance, and Investor Relations
    • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, including financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
    • Prepare and present financial reports to the board, providing insights and recommendations to improve the financials of Animaj.
    • Conduct profit and cost analyses to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
    • Optimize the timing of vendor payments to manage cash flows effectively.
    • Oversee benefits administration and develop a compensation policy and variable compensation strategy.
    • Oversee production financing, including budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting for content production.
    • Develop and manage financial models for production financing, ensuring projects are financially viable and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Mentor and develop team members, providing opportunities for professional growth and development.
    • Implement best practices in financial management, ensuring the finance team operates efficiently and effectively.
