Hugging Face is at the forefront of democratizing good AI, with a rapidly growing platform for AI builders boasting over 5 million users and 100k organizations. Together, they have shared an impressive array of models, datasets, and apps.

We're seeking a seasoned Senior UI Engineer to join our Product team and drive the success of our products in the market. As a key member, you will take ownership of the product's development and be responsible for its overall strategy.

With a strong focus on generalist mindset, you will contribute to developing innovative features for the HuggingFace Hub (hf.co) and other exciting projects. Although coding skills are not necessary, having a solid understanding of UX software such as Figma or Sketch is essential.

You will play a vital role in defining your day-to-day activities, working on impactful projects that align with your interests. Depending on your preferences, you could work on designing apps or pages to expand the Hub to new domains, create engaging content like blog posts, videos, talks, and demos, or help drive the direction of a product used by tens of thousands of users worldwide.

About This Role

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A Computer Science degree with 5+ years of UI design experience
  • An interest in Machine learning
  • Expertise in standard UX software such as Figma or Sketch
  • The ability to collaborate with team members to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet team needs and vision
  • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
  • The ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently
  • The capacity to synthesize company-level goals to help teams across multiple product areas create remarkable design experiences
  • Fluency in English
