About the Position
Inria, a French research institute in computer science and applied mathematics, is seeking a PhD researcher to join its STARS research team. The team focuses on advanced theories and cutting-edge practices in cognitive vision systems.
Research Project
The successful candidate will work on a PhD project titled "Conception d'un modèle de fondation pour la reconnaissance d'actions dans les flux vidéo de drones" (Designing a Foundation Model for Action Recognition in Drone Videos). The project aims to develop a new foundation model that unifies skeleton sequences and RGB action videos for both classification and segmentation tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a new foundation model for action recognition in drone videos
- Develop a large-scale dataset of action videos with high-quality skeleton annotations
- Conduct experiments and evaluate the performance of the proposed model on various action recognition tasks
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
- Strong background in machine learning, computer vision, and programming skills (C++/Python)
- Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
