About the Institute
The Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry (MPIB) is a premier international research facility located in Martinsried, renowned for its contributions to biochemistry, cell and structural biology, and biomedical research.
Our Team
With approximately 30 scientific departments and research groups, MPIB employs around 750 professionals, making it one of the largest institutes within the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science (MPG).
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated individual for our data center, focusing on various operating system platforms including Unix/Linux, Windows, and macOS. The role encompasses:
- Management of Active Directory and Windows server services, including software distribution administration (Matrix42 Empirum).
- Collaboration in the planning and enhancement of the Windows environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A completed degree in the IT field or equivalent training, complemented by relevant professional experience.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows Server versions 2016 to 2022, along with server services such as WSUS, KMS, print server, and RDS.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and command line administration.
- Familiarity with software distribution systems and software packaging.
- Desirable programming skills in PowerShell and C#.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 is advantageous.
- Fluency in both German and English.
