Lead Signal Processing Engineer

CEVA, Inc. is seeking a talented individual to join our esteemed Communication Signal Processing Team within the Wireless Internet of Things division. This role involves engaging in the research and advancement of innovative communication technologies, such as WiFi 7 featuring MIMO OFDMA, MU-MIMO, and Bluetooth PHY with High Accuracy Distance Measurement (HADM).
Key ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Specification of Algorithms: Developing algorithms for transceiver synchronization and demodulation, which includes Automatic Gain Control (AGC), time and frequency synchronization, channel estimation, clock and frequency offset compensation, equalization/MIMO detection, and channel decoding.
- Performance Analysis: Conducting algorithm performance evaluations through system simulations.
- Fixed-Point Specifications: Creating specifications for RTL or DSP implementations.
- Modeling: Performing bit and cycle accurate modeling.
- RTL Verification Support: Assisting in RTL verification with proactive contributions to test plans, generation of test vectors, and debugging issues.
- Standards Development: Staying updated with the latest advancements in communication standards.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A PhD or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Signal Processing, or an Engineer with over 5 years of experience in algorithm development for Digital Communication.
- A robust background in Signal Processing and Digital Wireless Communications, System Modeling, and Algorithm Design.
- Proficiency in MIMO, OFDM, WLAN, and other wireless radio technologies is highly desirable.
- Experience in fixed-point specification and bit-accurate modeling.
- Proficiency in Matlab.
- Experience in WiFi Signal Processing is advantageous.
- Experience in System Definitions is a plus.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility and innovative thinking.
