Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop engaging RPG systems, including character stats, progression, skills, classes, and abilities, within the Unity engine to create a deep and rewarding gameplay experience.
  • Develop a long-term strategic plan for ARPG content design, live operations, and content releases, ensuring seamless execution and player satisfaction.
  • Lead and mentor RPG designers, guiding their career development through goal setting, performance reviews, and mentorship, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Partner with the ARPG team to roadmap, delegate tasks, and ensure clear team responsibilities, promoting effective communication and project management.
  • Analyze gameplay data metrics, such as usage rates and pass rates, to understand player behavior and identify areas for improvement, driving data-driven decision making.
  • Analyze player feedback and engagement metrics to iterate and refine the ARPG experience, ensuring a high-quality and engaging product.
  • Design and build script mechanics for abilities using Unity, considering how a character will fit into an existing character ecosystem.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with junior team members and other disciplines to foster professional growth and development, promoting a culture of learning and innovation.
Requirements
  • 5-7+ years of experience in the video games industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience leading game designers on a live-service title, driving roadmaps and planning for live-service content delivery.
  • Experience designing playable characters or similar elements on a shipped title, including abilities, cards, and units.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for ARPGs and a deep understanding of the genre.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Solid experience with Unity development, including scripting, and familiarity with top mobile titles and current market trends within the ARPG genre.
