Role Overview:
As a Lead Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the Data Engineering team, which is essential for the seamless integration of data between DoubleVerify and its partners. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that all teams have access to accurate and reliable data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement ETL processes to facilitate the availability of partner data for various teams. This includes handling diverse data sources such as APIs and large files in formats like CSV, Avro, or Parquet.
- Contribute to the development of reverse ETL processes for the effective upload of models generated by DoubleVerify.
- Create APIs and libraries to enhance inter-team communication and collaboration.
Technical Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Python and experience with Prefect.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud technologies, including BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Run.
Reporting Structure:
You will report directly to the Manager of Data Engineering.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Strong SQL and Python skills.
- Ability to write clean and efficient code, adhering to the KISS principle.
- A willingness to learn additional programming languages as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with large datasets.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, information retrieval, or large software system development.
- A proactive approach to staying updated on data-related technologies.
